yea i def. think it's a huge mistake voting off dane! that team will not be nearly as competitive in the challenges without him. i will be interested to see how many people start "playing the game" after voting dane off...

^ totally agree. the blue team doesn't stand a chance on the challenges or weight loss % now that Dane is gone. blue doesn't seem to have much going for them! Ron has a bad knee, and Mandi & Aubrey are getting on my nerves with all their crying and whining all the time.

yeah they were acting like kids.

Ron's starting to piss me off. When he said 'It's Mandy's time to go' all I kept thinking was that he should go! When the brown team kept getting below the line he'd plea with the other people to help his son stay in the game, now he has no good justification for him to be there. It realllllly pisses me off. And blue team is just going to keep going under. I feel he'll be leaving soon, though, so that's good.

I mean, he failed just as much, if not more, than Mandy.

^^ but to be fair, he actually lost weight (unlike Mandi), and was second on his team at % weight loss for this week

that seems like plenty of justification to me

besides which, this is a game... and if they're going to let his opinion influence them, it's their own faults really

Aubrey pisses me off! She constantly whines and cries, and she's always getting favors from other people. In the one foot challenge, she begged other people to quit so she could see her family. OK, everyone misses their family, why do you deserve it more? This week she wanted Cathy to leave and acted like Cathy owed it to her! I have no idea why Cathy and Kristen didn't team up, they'd only have to convince one other person to vote with them.

Aubrey is a taker, not a giver. And everyone else is just enabling her by giving her what she wants.

I like Helen but I thought it was shitty of her to give time to Tara, when Helen wasn't even close to winning the challenge

As a matter of fact I think Helen was ~20 min behind both. Had she eaten 5 for both she would have won. Maybe she thought she was more competitive than she was.

Ron was who I referring to earlier. He is finally putting up reasonable numbers. I am not sure if it is good enough now. I liked Mandi way better than Aubrey. Aubrey is a crier and a whiner.

I really liked the fact they sent the home this week. It really is a testament to how far they came when most lost weight when they came back.

SIDE NOTE: I loved Cathy's transformation....involving her other daughters. It looks like this show actually impacted the whole family.

you wanna talk about impacting the whole family??? when i saw Ron and his son go home, and they showed the other son start crying - the son who was probably bigger than both of them when they started - oh that just broke my heart. I cried through that whole segment.

i wonder how ron picked which son should go or if the show just wanted the youngest one. I'd be feeling pretty left out and depressed if I was the bro.

I'm hoping kristen gets really far, but I really like tara, too. She may be the toughest competitor, but she's worked her ass of (no pun intended) so she deserves to be on top. I'm over the cousins after their tantrum.

and I hope that darius/daren guy wins at home, he was so nice.

^^ there could be all kinds of things we don't know about. like ^ said, maybe the brother didn't want the attention. Or maybe he couldn't get off work/school, had worse medical problems, mental health problems, etc.

I also found it very sad. It was like they were a family of 3 fat guys ... now Mike comes home and everyone tells him how good he looks. Now the brother is all alone!!

It's very interesting to me how some people are just natural athletes. They all started in horrible shape, have been doing the same workouts, but Tara and Sione came out so far ahead of the pack. In fact Helen got the 3rd best time on the half marathon and she's middle aged!

thats what i was talking about earlier. its irritating to me that people with natural athletic ability let themselves get that way, and then everyone is so impressed when they finally get motivated

all these people could've won any of the challenges, imo. I'm glad Tara one the last one.

I'm also ok with Aubrey going home, she seemed a little selfish. Not to mention, her little throw in the end about how having a family was holding her back is bs. There are plenty of women and men who make it to the gym with bigger more demanding families.

Congrats to them all so far, I love seeing the transformations!

YES I'm so glad Aubrey is gone. Aubrey would always complain about Tara winning the challenges, but completely ignore the fact that 3 other people finished ahead of her. When everyone gave weight to Tara, Aubrey was saying "it's just funny." Easy for Aubrey to say, because she never had a chance of winning either way!

Tara is a total hoss ... I love how she won the challenge even with the penalty weight! She's so competitive, even though winning makes everyone gang up on her all the time. Jillian was so proud of her winning the challenge too.

Well, Nicole came back to campus with immunity - however they failed to mention the clause "unless you gain weight, in which case you don't get immunity". So Nicole gained 5lbs, she lost immunity, she went below the yellow line with Ron, and they sent Nicole packing. Ron is in it for another week. But in his defense, this week I don't think it was fair to make him weigh-in. He was in the hospital for a few days and pumped full of fluids, so of course he was going to gain weight. All those other weeks, he deserved to go below the yellow line and get booted, but this week I don't believe he deserved to go home.

In other news, in the BL Transformations, they showed Nicole wearing a size 24 wedding dress before the BL, and a size 12 at the transformation filming. Gosh just thinking about it makes me wanna cry.

I find it hard to believe that Nicole gained 5 lbs while on campus. it makes me wonder if she lost weight at home through fad diets or something.

but she's looking great!

I think they never bothered to mention that immunity went away if you gained weight, so Nicole drank over a gallon of water to load the scale and guarantee she'd be safe the next week too. Once the biggest loser saw that she did this, they stripped her immunity and sent her home.

In reference to Ron decision on the son, that is his younger brother (he is 16), Mikie is old enough to compete. Competition is getting stiff!

^where did you see that?

I read an interview of Nicole in People where she said she was just getting over the flu, and had her period that week when she came back. Some women gain a few pounds of water retention during their periods, and I can see how the combination of water weight and gaining back what she lost while she was sick put her over. she obviously knows how to lose weight effectively, so I'm inclined to believe that there were extenuating circumstances leading to her 5lb gain.

not a bad conspiracy theory though

I'm happy that Tara is still in the house, though she was being really fucking selfish last week wanting Laura to stay just so she can have another vote in the house, even though the girl has a fractured hip. I'm glad Jillian set her straight this week.

I wish they'd sent Helen home instead of Kristen, mainly because I think Kristen has a lot more weight to lose and would benefit from a few more weeks on campus. Helen is damn near skinny at this point.

I'm shocked that Mike is picking up the manipulative ways of his father Ron. It's kind of disheartening to see. But ultimately, I want Mike in the finals with Tara, Filipe, and Ron. And I can't decide if I want Tara or Mike to win.

Mike has really turned into a hottie. He's going to have so much fun in college. I predict he will fail out his first semester because he'll party too much. He was such an outcast in HS for being so fat. If he goes to college thin and looking good, he's gonna get into so much trouble.

i want Tara to take home the prize...and i hope Ron got voted to stay in the competition just so Tara has a better chance. Mike could take the at-home prize and i'd be perfectly happy.

oh, and remember i said Daniel worked at my gym in Cary? well as of a week ago he'd lost 148lbs and was still going strong i'm looking forward to seeing him on the show.

they went home the first time in late february, came back 30 days later (end of march) so it has been roughly 45 days (give or take) since the last episode we watched.

Yeah I'm really disappointed that Mike missed it by 4lbs and Tara missed it by 5lbs. It was painfully obvious that Helen has been fasting for a week or two. She didn't look nearly as good as Tara and Mike did. I bet Helen is at least 10lbs below her "good weight".
