There is a thread in FF specifically discussing this if you'd like to contest the allegations. One of your own examples, "I downloaded a .rar movie from a torrent/p2p, how do I play it on my ipod?", is pretty much why you're unfit to moderate. It doesn't matter where the fuck they got the movie or what they're trying to play it on. If you pretend for a second that you're even remotely capable of objectivity, note that your own example as worded could just as well have been a game demo or creative commons media, and you would have moderated a legitimate thread because you're an opinionated douche.

I happen to be strongly opinionated on the politics of 'net communities, it has nothing to do with TWW specifically. I also host or participate in several IRC channels that are auto-op onjoin, for example, and the text-based RPGs I used to host had no administrative staff other than contributing programmers. I believe in truly free expression and think it's a shame when a medium in which that freedom otherwise seems to be practically an emergent phenomena becomes hindred by the personal bias of its contributors and administrators.
