Yeah, he definitely said it, I remember thinking "WTF How am I supposed to storm the fucking court at an away game??"

NCSU after going 9-0 at clemson in football was about as close as you could get to storming after an away game

didnt some people try to got to C-F to take the goal posts?

why?

is this in relation to when we (an unranked team) beat WF (a top 10 team) and rushed the court?

b/c that is totally the same thing

if there is another reason i'm missing, let me know...

same here....maybe he doesn't know what irony means?

It would be ironic if Wake sucked and was unranked later in the season and if we were ranked top 10 and then stormed the court....

I think he's referring to the fact that he's pretty sure we would have rushed the court in the same situation.

And I think he's right...unfortunately.

people make too big a deal about you shouldn't rush the court. If the excitement is there for your team, why diminish it?

People say "act like you've been there" but most teams haven't (like us, at least in this lifetime). Not to mention at some point you would become like UNC with that attitude, where they have lots of fans but they aren't the passionate fans that other schools have, partially because they are too arrogant to rush the court

i was at that game, and nobody tried to storm death valley, although it is completely possible and allowed.

BC jumped on the field when they beat clemson @ clemson 2 years ago to go to the acc championship, but it was lame cuz it was BC.

and for the record, that T.A McClendon 4th down run where he hurdled 1 player and then scooted 35yds to the endzone is burned into my memory like it was yesterday. i didnt even know i was going to ncstate at that point. there were tons of ncstate fans at that game

^^ That TA run was great. The Manny Lawson punt block and our whole special teams unit racing down the sideline with Terrance sticks out from that game too.

Haha, as much as I hate knocking the court rush....ASU's rushing the court with the win over Arizona was a bit much fucking retarded (not to mention the terrible execution, dumbasses took like 10 minutes to get down there).

Well to be fair they haven't had much experience rushing the court before.

I mean if we swept UNC, we would most def rush.

Dude, he was accosting a guy from Clemson for rooting for Clemson before he came to State.

And then he made a truly idiotic assertion that Clemson was like Chapel Hill.

Clemson, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Auburn...folks should know who our brothers are.

hmm, I live pretty close to clemson and I'd say 90% of the Clemson fans I run into that I actually end up talking to are alums. And the other thing is that UNC gets made fun of because they have fans all over who never went to school there. From hours away in NC to all over the country. Sound like Clemson? Not at all. Pretty sure that if you talk to people who live within 15-20 minutes of any major college you are going to find fans who arent alums. Its not the same as the grief people give wal-mart nation UNC fans.

clemson & ncstate not only share extremely similar academics, but also the same athletic frustrations. it seems like everytime ncstate blows a game, clemson will follow suit (and visa versa). i do not know why, its just been that way for years now.

none of you live around here ( from the sound of it) and even in Columbia sc there are more Clemson fans than USC.
On a smaller scale (within the state of sc) Clemson is like UNC, no one goes to the fucking school and everyone likes them. They are at every Wal-Mart, and every one wears their shit.

i laugh at other people that would say this isn't true.

No motherfucker, i told him if he wants to talk about clemson, go post about it on a fucking clemson messageboard.

complete bullshit, but on a lesser scale(than UNC, ya i agree with you on that point), clemson is bandwagon in this whole state.

I live in Greenville, SC which is like 30 miles from clemson if you dont believe I live close. So no, I dont live 15 mins from there but I do live "around" there. I just don't see the support being that abnormal when compared to areas surrounding other major colleges.

V this.

Honea Path, Anderson, Greenwood, Piedmont, Seneca, these places are more comparable than greenville.

If you lived in Greenville you would also know that there are a lot of people from outside of SC that live there that like other schools because they are alums from all around.

The entire area however is filled with rednecks that have clemson everything that have never even been to a game

I was half expecting there to be a Really Maryland fans? thread this past weekend. The whole "act like you've been there" rant - since they have, and much more recently than we have.

Maybe there was a thread and I just missed it.

I live/work in the Florence,SC area and I completely disagree with this. There are just as many USC fans as there are Clemson fans in SC. The USC fans are trashier and more redneck, but exist nonetheless. UNC has a much bigger fanbase in NC than Clemson has in SC (percentage wise) IMHO.

i was in Hartsville last weekend, we went to the mall in Florence and every fucker I saw there was a clemson fan. Dude it is not even close, this is the mall that has a dicks and a best buy in the mall. USC fans and clemson fans are both trashy and redneck, there is no worse fan between them.

I tend to agree with ^^ more than ^

But its going to be hard to argue with you since you live 15 mins from Clemson so OBVIOUSLY you are going to be immersed in Clemson stuff.

And I guess I dont understand what the deal is, I immediately notice I am in Raleigh every weekend I go back there because of the bumper stickers, magnets, shirts, hats etc. stuff everywhere. And Raleigh is in a much bigger city/area than directly around Clemson and its still densely populated with State stuff. Why do you expect to not see Clemson stuff living around there? And why would you not expect to see more Clemson stuff than USC stuff for the same reason?

^^ ur a clueless moron, so its not even worth discussing, but i'll say a few more things before turning my head away from you.

In the state of South Carolina (its below North Carolina) there are two schools with high major football programs. One is the Clemson Tigers, and the other is University of South Carolina Gamecocks.

because they are the only two schools, and if you are from the state, you pick one or the other. Where I am from, a city called Charleston, SC, it is predominately South Carolina fans. Why? I don't know, it just happens.

It is a fierce rivalry and you pick one side or the other and you are a fan for life. You love or hate one team, and that's just how it is. However, once you get outside of South Carolina, you don't find anywhere near the same amount of athletic interest/bandwagoneering in either school as compared to the University of North Carolina (nicknamed the "Tarheels").

The difference in class between Clemson and USC is light and dark. There's a huge difference, and thats all i'll say ab that.
