bttt. picked it up yesterday and after doing a little research have found that it's probably from the late 30s/early 40s....Have yet to plug it up ,but will do so when i can. It's a bit heavy and still on my trailer, so i just want to be careful and maybe get some help getting it off.I took an orbital sander to a small portion of it and it turned out great. There were however swirl marks. My compressor wont push enough cfm so getting a pneumatic orbital sander which will leave a much better finish is probably out of the question.Anywho, i decided that i'm going to take the paint off chemically and repaint it. Wanting to use an automotive enamel paint. Thoughts? Having never painted a car, i'm sure there are some preparations that need to be made. Any suggestions on going about it?*this should totally be in the garage.
