i'm assuming you mean defensive tackles, since defensive ends are most definitely the pinnacle of athleticism

and this defensive tackle can dunk

hunting is a sport in the same way that cheer leading is a sport.

treetwista I'm having a tough time figuring out if you are being an asshole for the fun of it or if you really believe the crap you are spewing out. either way, top notch trolling.

You picked the wrong analogy there. MM was one of the fittest NASCAR drivers when it was still peopled mostly by good-ole-boys. The man drove an entire race without power steering. If that isn't athleticism, I don't know what is.

Besides, back when the cars were steel and the men were men, a good race would end with a boxing match anyway

Any athlete will tell you that sports require more than just brute physical strength or speed. Reflexes, experience, judgment, and timing all play a part. A classic example is racquetball. A good racquetball player can cause a new player to exhaust himself chasing after the ball while the experienced one barely breaks a sweat. Does this detract from the inherent skill of the experienced player?

As far as hunting is concerned, I could care less whether people think it is a sport or not. That isn't going to stop me from going into the field.

There's nothing wrong with hunting, but it's not a sport. Neither is pool, or bowling, or croquet, or a lot of other games or past times. If it doesn't require athletic prowess it isn't a sport.
