ha yea, my other guitar player and I were out looking for something one night while we were taking a break from practice. We had never tried it but said it looked like a "metal" beer joking around so we tried it and I loved it - especially the aftertaste.

It has nothing to do with elitism. I'll drink PBR, High Life, or Steel Reserve any day of the week.

Corona just sucks.

Battlefield black used to be one of my favorite at the saucer. then they got the bock, and i was excited, until i tried it. I guess its like they say, "Once you go black you never go back."

Huh? Explain. What's "cute and stuff"?
Some of the best beer I've had was brewed by flying dog...

i dont really drink these days. i'm not sober in the sense that i'm an ex alcoholic or whatever.. but i do never drink alone. i occasionally have a beer socially or whatever.

i used to drink a couple times a week or whatever and i met a lot of beer snobs.

hmm

i'd say that for me, bass ale is the 10/10. (i am assuming your favorite beer would be 10/10 and there can only be one 10) and out of any that i tried at the beer festivals and all that, i liked the youngs chocolate stout, i think it's called. that would be a 9/10

and on a more serious note:

Those three beers are by far my favorites (in that order).

And all three have won MANY beer competitions in their category (American style lagers). Rainier is simply delicious.

Seriously.

I drank it so much when I was even more poor than I am now that I acquired a taste for it. I legitimately enjoy it, which is a bit frightening. I like jbrick's taste.

Rogue Hazelnut Brown is the shit.

You see....
What does the label have to do with it? Nothing. Supposedly, that's the point you were trying to make.
But then by specifically mentioning flying dog as being cute, that suggests that the label does matter.
Otherwise, why mention it? You shouldn't have specified a particular beer's label as being a negative quality in the same breath
as suggesting that beers' labels, in general, don't matter. Get it? And to make matters worse, you picked a damn good beer.

Next time, just stick with this gem: "Don't judge a book by its cover."

^^^I drink dat 190% good beer.

I appreciate most beers. Not a big IPA fan...but do have a couple that I like. Don't think I'm a beer snob (probably because it's too expensive to be a true one), but I do like good beer.

Sammy Smith and Rogue make the best beers IMO. But I have to give a shout-out to Sam Adams for making pretty damn good cheap beer. Their Summer Ales and Winter Lagers are usually solid.
