Jindal is like fourth on the list for 2012...Palin first, Huck, Mitt, Crist and then Jindal...I think Jindal is barily in double figures...also, the GOP is the party of the rich white folks...any "Jindal" they put up would have to get a huge Dem vote to have a chance in the general and that seems unlikely.

The reps are pretty much in identity crisis mode right now, the same way the dems were in 2001.

Unless Obama makes any huge mistakes, or the economy doesn't right itself in 4 years, you're probably not going to see an old white guy running against him in 2004. But a lot can happen in 4 years, and Obama may be charismatic, but he's still a noob when it comes to DC. When he was trying to get 101st senator Pete Rouse to sign on as his chief of staff in 2004, rather than to retire as he was planning on doing, he said to him "I know what i'm good at, I know what I'm not good at; I can give a good speech, but I don't have any idea what it's like to get established in the senate"

i had never seen jindal before his epic fail speech, only heard about him and all his hype

but he interviewed on the today show yesterday morning and sounded a lot less mr rogers. still didn't pay attention to much to the details of his responses (i think i was waiting for him to trip over himself or something) but at least it was a little reassuring to know he isn't a complete tool and the GOP isn't completely retarded for hyping him up (even though they are completely retarded for many other reasons)
