Compared to the rest of the internet, we're actually probably one of the better places to come for real-life advice.

As far as forums go, TWW isn't quite as disconnected from reality as others are, being based around NCSU and all. So the advice occasionally tends towards the more serious and useful. And most sites on the internet that would genuinely want to be helpful (Yahoo answers for lack of a better example off the top of my head) generally are far too stupid to be of any use.
