well there is a slight bug in your logic, but i definitely get what you're saying.

It just depends on how long they were exposed to the elements before being frozen. Also, sometimes the body moves and thaws and refreezes. 5/28/2009 6:57:35 PM |

It depends on the exposure. George Mallory's body was very well presevered when it was discovered 80 years later.

The death rate for Mount Everest climbers is, 1 death for every 10 successful summits ... If I remember right, about 5% of all people that attempt it die. 5/28/2009 7:16:22 PM |

If you're stupid enough to try to climb a really tall and dangerous mountain for no damn reason, you're the only that knowingly put your life at such a risk. At that point it's not up to one of the other dumb assholes trying to climb the mountain to save you. 5/28/2009 7:37:48 PM |

people dont have trouble because they were instantly buried alive. The trouble stems from lack of oxygen and dehydration. Basically the air is so thin there isn't enough oxygen being pumped to your brain and you have all sorts of problems
(i just watched this hour special on climbing Everest yesterday)

or maybe the Nepalese government doesn't feel obligated to have a fleet of helicopters on standby to rescue dumb ass foreign tourists from their own stupidity
sadly it seems a New Zealand avionics corporation is designing an unmanned drone for Everest rescues, thus eliminating yet another satisfying source of Darwinistic realization in today's increasingly dull world

Or a train. Pike's Peak is 14,000 feet and has a train to the summit. Just make the train twice as long, easy .
Send American miscreants to build it, charge $5,000 per trip up, split with the Nepalese.
