Its a White Xterra. If the Xterra has smudge damage on the right rear bumper, just snap off a photo of the license plate and post it here.

I hate to be debbie downer, but even if you find a car with a dent/smudge that would be consistent with the damage to your car it's going to be almost impossible to prove that they did it.

A few years ago when I was working at Home Depot my car was hit in the employees section of the parking lot and I looked around that section of the lot for the next few days until I found a car with a dent in it that matched where my car had been hit. I confronted the guy and reported it to the police, but because he wouldn't confess to it I was pretty much SoL.

I had some niglets throw a rock at my car last week and I jammed on breaks and they booked it, (there is a long story but don't feel like typing it) end result was 24 hours of wishing I could curb stomp every single one of them.

police came because one of them stuck around, can't do shit because they are minors and they would have to get a judge to file an injunction and that is assuming they get one of the little fucks to admit. Like I said real long story.

found the guy today at pullen. In exchange for not calling the cops we went to the atm and he gave me $500 for my deductible.

I was able to work with the repair shop to make my deductible only $230 too.

Yeah, I'd have gotten more than the deductible from the asshole because it'll make your rates go up, depreciate your car, AND it won't be on his record making his insurance go up like it should.

He was lucky enough to find the guy and get anything out of him at all. Even if he had called the cops there's not much of a chance anything would have come out of it without any real evidence. He got the satisfaction of finding the guy and getting $500 to boot. He made out pretty good considering.

Had you called the cops you could have made his insurance pay for it and put $1500 in the bank for loss of value on the car.
