If you twist the wires properly, you aren't going to have problems, even with a low level signal.

I mean, fuck it, if you want to wire your stereo up like a nigger don't let the facts deter you. As long as you "twist it properly" then you might not have problems. Maybe is certainly good enough for a permanent installation you'll use for years which require a couple hours of your time altogether and maybe a few minutes extra to do properly.
