He likes to wear pasties in the pool. I tell him that's for trailer trash, but he never listens.

yes. just ask for a Gold's gym passport the next time you go to the gym. they fill out a little card and give it to you to show other gyms. That's how I work out at gold's when I'm on the road.

T minus 8 days to liftoff! This time next Thursday, I will be ready to party!

Who wants to join?

Asher Roth and Kid Cudi are playing at HOB Vegas on Thursday. Has anyone seen them live? I'm tempted to go.

I had my entire bridal party @ the Planet Hollywood when I got married. I really liked the casino there, very hip.

My casino of choice is Casino Royale b/c they have the cheapest table game prices on the strip. I will warn you, its a dump but the payout is very nice. Its between Harrahs and Caesar's Palace I believe. Its attached to a Denny's

^ We're staying at Planet Hollywood bc I have corporate hookups. The Pleasure Pit looks AWESOME! Did you get married in Vegas? Or just do the bachelorette and bachelor parties there? Did you do a wedding chapel? Or something a little more extreme? That's kind of my dream.

I got married in Vegas in October at the Little Church of the West.

Its right passed the Vegas sign, across from the Mandalay Bay hotel.

I picked the Planet Hollywood b/c it had reasonable rates. My mom was paying for my bridesmaids' air and hotel so we spent a long time researching hotel rates. We were able to get rooms @ Planet Hollywood for $129/night.

I was implying the jumping out of a window of a residence after having had sex with a wife as the husband is coming in the front door. IE, the joke about "meat"ing thumper and lucyinthesky and the aforementioned hubby of thumper.

But it's probably good the windows don't open in Vegas. People now just jump out in front of buses.

i meant to post this when i recommended "Love" but anyway:

http://www.bandbristorante.com/dinner.cfm

tim and i ate here and we agreed that this:
Quote :
"Goat Cheese Tortelloni with Dried Orange and Wild Fennel Pollen "

was the single best thing we have ever had in our lives

I also had antipasti of assorted salamis w/ fiddleheads (it was a special i think, not on the menu), tim had a lamb tartare (also not on the menu) which was the bomb. tim and i shared (no homo, beck was there ) for primi the above dish and "Beef Cheek Ravioli with Black Truffles and Crushed Duck Liver" (like pasta stuffed wiht a very rich beef stew) and i had for secondi "Fennel Dusted Sweetbreads with Sweet and Sour Onion, Duck Bacon, and Membrillo Vinegar" (may not have been that exact dish, menu may have changed, but it was def sweetbreads) and i had desert of a poached pear with pear ice cream and liquer glaze.

you have to go to good restaurants while you are there, outside of NY and LA, you cant eat like in Vegas. but i had always wanted to eat at a Batali joint b/c of the diff stuff he serves. also, it is amazing how many people have never had well made fresh pasta (including me before and after that) which is so so so diff from the dried shit. on other occasions i have been to Emeril's place and one of Wolfgang's, but neither compared to B&B.

anyway, what i'm trying to say is "Get your eat on!"

^^^ You can still be homo with Beck around. Swingers? JK. That food sounds AMAZING. Lamb tartare ... mmmm.

I want to try Tom Colicchio's CraftSteak mainly because I think the Top Chef cast will do a challenge there while they're filming this season. FILMING IS RIGHT NOW!

I also want to try MIX at Mandalay Bay, a concept by Alain Ducasse. MIX is managed by China Grill Management, which also manages Asia de Cuba, one of my FAVORITE restaurants (their Hollywood location is FAB). Although the reviews are mixed regarding the service, the food sounds great. Here's their menu:

appetizers
kampachi sashimi, cauliflower remoulade, meyer lemon emulsion $26.00
seared duck foie gras, daikon fondant, huckleberry sauce $32.00
shrimp cocktail, horseradish, spicy tomato syrup $24.00
bluefin tuna tartare, melba toast, guacamole condiment $24.00
seared scallops "caesar", shallot/bacon dressing $26.00
lobster chestnut bisque, savoy cabbage $21.00
spicy crab salad, mango, cucumber and green papaya $24.00
calamari risotto, broccolini, tomato foam $26.00
crunchy lobster salad, chilled coconut gazpacho $29.00
osetra caviar, 50 gr., blinis, creme fraiche $280.00

fish & shellfish
crusted atlantic cod, eggplant caviar, lemon/caper $43.00
mix surf and turf: halibut, seared foie gras, brussels sprouts, crushed black truffle $55.00
john dory, baby bok choy, aromatic herb butter $44.00
king salmon, parsley, porcini and potato fricasse $39.00
crispy thai snapper, fried rice, soy glaze $44.00

meat & poultry
bison tenderloin, "sauce au poivre," mix of vegetables $48.00
colorado rack of lamb, stuffed piquillo, natural jus $51.00
roasted veal tournedos, vegetable "blanquette," caper veal jus $56.00
beef tenderloin, hearts of palm, potato pont-neuf, velvet sauce $59.00
free range chicken, basque country "piperade" $39.00

side dishes
forked crushed potato $11.00
elbow pasta, black truffle, ham, gruyère cheese $12.00
creamy spinach $12.00

ALWAYS tip the cocktail waitresses in the casino if you are going to order mixed drinks.

they will HOOK YOU UP. Most of the time the mixed drinks you get are watered the fuck down. But if you tip beforehand (like I always do), they will hook you up.

Oh you mean, I'm sitting on a stool gambling my heart out and a waitress wants to bring me drinks - which are free while you gamble. If I tip her (like what, $10 or something?) then she'll come back more often and bring me good drinks?

^^ Seeing as how I get wasted off a glass of wine, it's probably irrelevant. Though I do intend to tip.

If you are sitting there gambling and you want a good drink (like a rum & coke), they will put more rum in it than coke if you tip them well.

if you don't, it'll be 90% coke and 5% rum and 5% water

OK so, what do you consider a good tip? Like, give her $10 up front, and then 3 drinks later toss more cash at her? I don't know how much is considered "good" for a tip in Vegas.
