I had a friend who moved into Rhyne's Gate when I was NCSU (tried to get me to go there too). He always used to inform me of the interesting events that occurred in the area including a police chase terminating in that complex.

I don't understand this.

I hear them around my place quite frequently. And a dude up the street was murdered recently. I stood like six feet away from a dude who was readjusting a pistol in his waistband when he didn't know I was standing behind him. And the next door neighbors were rich kid heroine addicts who didn't bathe and tried to rob their drug dealer a few days before they moved out. And the cops do occasionally "bust" somebody here.

But it's actually kind of a boring family neighborhood where everybody works and/or sits inside watching TV.

I wanna mix it up in the streets and menace the fuck out of people, but instead there's just a very slight but continuous threat of violence/crime. Something could happen, but it never does, and the anticlimax is killing me. It's oppressive!

It's a nice neighborhood so the gunshots make me feel more confused than unsafe.

yeah its weird, because the area is really nice looking. there's always people "patrolling" up and down carlton, and i too once saw a guy adjust/flash his pistol in his belt one night when i was driving by him. the people i see are either thugged out and rolling deep or carrying groceries from somewhere...i don't get it.

AND JESUS FUCKING CHRIST, WHO EVER RUNS THE ICE CREAM TRUCK ALL DAY NEEDS TO BE SHOT
