but if the password is nothing more than random letters, numbers and special characters, built from an encrypted data line with a variable length and no way of knowing the key, how would you compile a dictionary from the host machine?

I'm going to invent a program that requires a stool sample to confirm your identityWill make for some high comedy when people get caught squatting over their desk trying to log inGet it? Log in?

I donno, the STD plug in app for your phone seems to be funnier then that idea. But it wouldn't help you figure out your passwords.

first world problem? The unsername/password system seems fairly archaic, there seems like there should be a better way. I don't run a nuclear launch facility, so the only passwords I have to remember are for banking, paying bills, and general websites. And I still have trouble keeping up with them. I equally hate the security questions like "what is your favorite color?" or "who was your first girlfriend?" I can never what i put for those either.

This is why I love my smart card. Remembers all my work passwords for me and updates everything when I have to reset a password that expires.
