Capitals weaknesses exposed. It's their second string defense. Also, Varlamov needs more confidence.

Only in Canada: http://www.cbc.ca/battle/

It's like Dancing with the Stars, but it's pairs figure skating. All of the female contestants are notable pairs skaters, and all of the male contestants are former NHL players.

Male contestants include PROBERT and DOMI. Yipes.

In other news, Carey Price may or may not be a robot. Habs have been outshot 81-44 in their two games and have won both.

Hah! Dominic Moore finally signs a one-year deal with Florida for $1 million when he could have had $1.5 - 1.7 million for 3 years from Toronto last year but turned it down and was subsequently dealt to Buffalo.

A classic case of over-valuing yourself because you play on a shit hockey club (the Leafs). End result: you have to take the scraps you're given.

Does anyone have the NHL online dealy instead of Center Ice? I am thinking about getting it but I fear I won't be able to see anymore Canes games (I canceled my cable today). I wonder if I could make my address in like Buffalo or something because who watches their games anyway and would care that they are blacked out?

I was asking some people about that myself recently. From what I understand, but I can't confirm this myself, the blackouts and whatnot are determined by your IP address. I'm pretty sure there's a free trial right now, so you should try it to see if it works.

Maybe if the Capitals could play some defense and Jose Theodore could fill the five spot, Washington could win the Cup this year.

So yeah. . .They blackout based on ISP BUT you can watched them in the archive!!! I am currently watching the 7-2 stomping we gave Florida. I do wish they game you the option of which perspective to watch the game from though.

is it no longer possible to listen to each team's radio feed for free on NHL.com anymore?

I can't find that option on the gamecenter page . . .

Not sure what the deal with that is, but you can get to it from the individual team's website.

Anyone know where to find a stream of the SJ / WAS game? Washington hasnt beat SJ in 12 games, so it sounds like it could be crazy.

I watched that thing live and I didn't see that. I was just watching the goal going "please god don't let it go in". The officiating in that game was horrible though, anderson got run over 3 times with no interference and the Canadiens' second goal was a pass off the net above the glass that the refs missed and then the canadiens scored.

^^^ I guess Gio's so short that he only counts for half?

And Luongo's still in net after the the 0-5 butt pounding he's taking in Calgary. They really do worship him. But then again October's his slump month or something or another.

David Booth knocked unconscious by Mike Richards.

Richards is going to get a massive suspension. It was a head hunter of a hit in open ice, and Booth was unconscious instantly before he even hit the ice. Then of course he landed head first and slid about a mile.
