Since April, I've been dating a girl I met on Match.com; a girl I am in love with.

Jaime, Chris was a super snob! He hid it well. I think Dad saw it though.

He didn't talk to anyone at your wedding other than Ron. Because he hates Southerners. Loser!

there are a lot of homely UNC graduates on that site.

I dated a hot redhead NCSU grad student for a hot minute, but she had serious daddy issues, and only ate sushi?!? Crazy redheads, love them, but too crazy.

I once dated/saw/went outwith/fucked twice a girl named Lucy

Pretty, but extremely skinny arms, like pencil thin, like pool cue diameter

Plus, she didn't like my Ricky voice, so it didn't last

Though somewhat hesitant, I will eventually be joining this site, but just to get out of my social circle and for the funny experiences both lucy here and my coworkers have told me about as far as their experiences with it.

This seems to be the best median between eHarmony, which is apparently super-serious (and super-expensive), and some other things like plentyoffish.com(?). Not really looking for anything serious until I feel I could fully support a relationship financially and emotionally.

And who is this Chris guy? I'LL BEAT HIS ASS!!1

Also, my hesitation stems somewhat from the creep factor of sitting there looking through pics of these women, plus I really have had my share of emotionally unstable women and damaged goods.

Monetarily is more used to describe direct currency matters while Financially is used for broader money issues

I'd like to get into real estate, but financially, it doesn't make sense for me right now

Those panties have sentimental as opposed to monetary value.

at least thats how i've been using them

I have 2 friends who met people online and have been happily married to them for several years.

I have many more friends who met their spouses through traditional means, and they are either going through divorces or miserable.

I joined Match.com in mid-Jan of 06 (signed up for 6 months because they were doing some crazy awesome deal). I went on some dates but you're right Lucy- the pics of the guys were VERY misleading... and every single one of the guys got super clingy after going on ONE date w/ them...

Mid-Feb, I was at a bar and met my husband... hah. Didn't get to use even a month of the membership...

But in other news, on one of my first dates I got to sit front row at a Hurricanes game... so holla.

^ Ditto on the clingy guy thing. It's like they automatically expected boyfriend-girlfriend status after one date. Very odd.

eharmony is $texas
match is $delaware
plentyoffish and okcupid are $free (dunno state equivalent lol)

in my experiences tho, eharmony is for the very super serious and who have 2 months of free time to just send questions back and forth without ever meeting in person. match is more for the casual dater who is looking to date different people at the same time. the people on match seem to be the most normal (at least where i live) compared to the other sites. they are actually willing to talk and hang out after a decent amount of time, not 2 months. POF and okcupid are heavily used for hooking up and just random hanging out, making friends kinda thing (again from what i've seen and read). you get all different types on those 2 sites due to them being free; the weirdos and sketchballs are very prevalent on there.

She was a Diva. The type that knows she's hot and expects you to throw money at her. Nice enough girl, but not surprising that she's single.

When you say he isn't quality, do you mean he isn't a good looking guy, or something else

and to be 44 and fucking 20 year olds, thats pretty badass, no matter what they look like

Lucy, I just saw this:

Quote :
"And I don't know if there's anything wrong with high standards. I just want to be with a guy who brings out the best qualities in me. Where I look forward to seeing them and I want to make them happy and I want to take better care of myself for them. It's hard to do that when you're not really that into the guy."

So, basically, you ARE looking for marriage.
