nice- we actually looked at one of those for me (as well as a scarcrow) but I realized having a mask might get annoying while trying to drink those buurs


and they were just talking about how we are trying to get it going again, comparing it to franklin street and also about how the construction might be a factor- they finished up the coverage talking about how a "student" had even set up a facebook page to boost support despite the construction

it was kinda weird to hear it on NBC- I would have expected this on WRAL (what I consider to be NCSU's local station)


while I keep saying I'm not gonna hike, I am trying to support this. I will be out there, just not bar hopping. But everytime i try to click "invite friends" it just takes me back to the home page

I've invited every Raleigh, Garner, Cary, Durham, CH, Clayton, and even some OOT friends that I wouldn't be surprised if they would come on my friends list.

I even messaged the original creator of the 2007 Hike and asked him kindly to send a message to the group he created promoting my facebook event. I have not heard back from him.

I've enabled it so people can invite people on their list; it's either not happening or maybe they are having problems like Biofreak70 has said.

I'm going to submit a story for the main page on TWW.

I can't afford a FB ad.

What else do you suggest I do Scrumples??

Otherwise...^THAT is excellent. I hope other stations will pick it up now. And I'll keep doing my best to spread the good word.

Pretty much everyone working behind the scenes at NBC is just out of college or is in their second job out of college. A good chunk is also State grads.

If anything, NBC is NCSU's local station. People just swarm to WRAL because they've been around forever. NBC pretty much gears their news to the 18-30 demo --- for examples look to their coverage of the hike last year compared to RAL's; also look at their local music coverage compared to any other TV station in the Triangle, everything is skewed young.

Hell, look at RAL's anchors. David Crabtree, Bill Leslie, Pam Saulsby ... they shove they're young anchors into fill-in or weekend slots. I don't think NBC has a single anchor over 40.

But that's just like my opinion man.
