supposedly (and DROD, one of the less annoying things Herd has ever said), the McRib is going to be available nationwide for the first time in 16 years
I assume when I've had one in the last 16 years it wasn't available in every other part of the country at that time 10/13/2010 5:13:03 PM

A subcontracting company called Simon Marketing (a then-subsidiary of Cyrk), which was hired by McDonald's to organize and promote the game, failed to recognize a flaw in its procedures, and the chief of security, Jerome P. Jacobson,[1] was able to remove the "most expensive" game pieces, which he then passed to associates who would redeem them and share the proceeds.
...
In 1995, St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee received an anonymous letter postmarked Dallas, Texas, containing a $1 million winning game piece. Although game rules prohibited the transfer of prizes, McDonald's waived the rule and is making the $50,000 annual payments.[4] Investigations later indicated, and Jacobson himself admitted, that he had sent the winning piece to the hospital.[5]"" |

Thats it? Guess I have no need to go this year. I always get a quarter-pounder meal with a large drink (usually sweet tea) but keep the fries medium. So I wouldn't get any pieces at all this year 9/28/2011 3:10:20 PM

Vermont is the rare piece with an approximate 1 in 206,036 chance of finding that tile. The other tiles, Oriental Avenue and Connecticut Avenue, are both 1 in 11. Winning that set will net you a hundred dollars." |

Wow. I'd actually be pissed if I beat 1:2,472,425 odds to win a $200 spa gift certificate. I'd probably just toss it in the garbage.

I'm thinking hash browns and a tea? That should be more than enough calories to get to lunch for $2

I love how in the commercial the lady peels off a piece from her drink and casually says "Look, I won a million dollars!"
The chances are more than 1 in 500,000,000. Worse than the lottery. If I won $1m I'd be doing backflips off the table screaming 10/2/2011 7:44:22 PM

My luck would be if I won the million dollars, I'd also get simultaneously hit by a piece of space junk, hit by lightning at least 3 times and survive, bitten by a pack of wild dogs, get rabies, get cured of rabies, get MRSA, loose a leg, and then have an aortic aneuyrsm. And then what was left of the money would be left to my kids, but the Federal government would take most of that. I think I am better off not winning. 10/3/2011 12:22:41 PM

There's a McD's down the block and people here occaisonally grab something for lunch, and subsequently leave their refuse in the break room trash can. Since this game started, one guy here, lets call him "Desmond" has been rummaging thru the trash to scavenge game pieces that others hadn't bothered to peel off. Even if he wins something, and I'm hoping he doesn't, who does that? Its just above scrounging for used condoms. 10/3/2011 5:48:03 PM

Back in like 2005, I got to know one of the employees that would work the drive-thru at the McDonalds in Crossroads. I went there like every other day during Monopoly that year. One day, she gave me an entire sleeve of cups w/ game pieces on them.
I don't remember what I won thought. I think it was just a couple food items 10/4/2011 8:45:27 AM

I used to work at a summer camp where twice a week we would get mcdonalds for 60-80 kids. We would always get 1 large fry per two kids and split them.
