OMG! They painted their faces green to match their costumes! Come on, anyone with half a brain knows why I did what I did. As someone said, if you don't paint your face black to match the rest of Elmo's mouth then it looks like he is swallowing a person. If Elmo had a neon pink mouth then I would have painted my face neon pink.

I don't think it is bizarre. No matter what race you are, if you don't use black face paint with that costume then it will look like elmo is swallowing you whole.
