when I go back and watch '80s videos, like Devo, I have to wonder - "did they actually think this was cool in the 80s, or was it ridiculous and weird then too?"

I have to wonder the same thing about GaGa and others in another 10-15 years.... will people in 2025 take stuff like this as a representation of the kind of music/videos we like now?

i think i've done almost a full 180 on this girl in the past 2 days....

The only think I'd ever heard or seen of her before this week was her on SNL a few weeks ago, which I thought sucked and she was being weird just for the sake of being weird. And i guess i've heard Poker Face, which sounds like normal teen-pop bullshit.

and the first time I saw the Bad Romance video i thought it was stupid and that's when I made those previous comments. But since, i've watched Bad Romance a few more times, and I'm kind of mesmerized by it now... then watched a few more of her videos, and saw her singing at NYU when she was in college, and i'm happy to give her props now. Not sure I'd go so far as to say I'm a fan, now, but i've definitely changed my tune towards her overall. might give the whole album a listen

I think Bad Romance sucks. So does Poker face and Papparazi.

Telephone is great though. And I think I've heard another couple of her songs I really like.
