Let's face it. There is no team on earth worse than nc state at any sport. High school team that don't make the state playoffs say to themselves, "hey at least we're better than state." Mighty Mite football squads count themselves blessed to not be playing for our team. No recruit would ever want to come to this POS part of the world ( unless it's to go to a prestigious basketball school to play football??) and this team will never be good. They never have been good. The gator bowl was a giveaway. Phillip Rivers isn't that good. It doesn't matter what we do. We should just close the doors on all athletics and hang our heads, because we are that terrible.
Does anyone believe the drivel? Based on three years you can look into your crystal balls and say, "shit storm ahead." Sure glad Wake didn't say that back when Grobe had back to back 4-7 seasons. Sometimes I hate our fans. 11/17/2009 1:06:22 AM |

At first I thought that was a really awesome post but then i realized he was being sarcastic. Seriously don't get me wrong, I really want NC State to win and do well. But I also have accepted the fact that we are the Kansas City Royals of the ACC. Occasionally, the stars may align just right and we'll have a decent season.... hell we may even win a championship, but that won't happen often and 90% of the time, we'll be mediocre at best. We just do not have anything to offer young talent. Phillip Rivers was like 45 when he came here and married (yes that is an exaggeration), but he was such an anomaly. Normally, great players aren't [fairly] mature and are looking for more than a decent education and if they decide to get wild and crazy, a couple of tunnels to paint whatever they want on.
So yes, I will continue to hope and pray that we get some super awesome, up-and-coming coach that somehow recruits amazing talent and we somehow put an amazing run together, win an ACC title, and then go on to a National Championship. While I am at it, I also would like a 10 inch cock. I would put these two things at about the same probability.
But sure, let's keep this on topic. Let's start Glennon. It will guarantee success in years to come. 11/17/2009 7:17:55 AM |
