not really, we always have test questions on the structures, but i'm able to deduce them.
(ie steroids are penta-ring, fatty acids are glyerols with 3 carb chains, thiols are sulfer connected etc etc)

like:


the keto group is on the alpha carbon.
the resonance structure at the top (the "end of the molecule") suggests its an acid.
theres only 2 carbons which is similar to the amino acid glutimate.
hench alpha-ketoglutimate acid, or alpha ketogluterate.

it wont be that easy next year though i'm told.

lucky, i remember just having to draw them out of memory. like, 21 amino acids at a time. and god forbid you put a group on the right hand that should be on the left hand, lol.

of course, i can't do any of that now because unused information in my head is gone in like a week.

Succinyl coenzyme A synthetase catalyzes the formation of succinate and coenzyme-A from succinyl-CoA.
i see synthetase and i automatically think that this means this enzyme should make succinyl coA

(final grades are simply letter grades. scored from 90-100 are simply an A(4.0), 80-89 is a B(3.0) and so on)

i'm horrible at finals. especially with so many in a row (as you may be able to tell...ive done MUCH MUCH better on my regular tests)

im taking 7 or 8 (its a pretty large number considering)
it's equivalent to 21 hours i believe
i didnt sign up for the classes-theyre given to you too.
some only meet once a week.
some every day.
some 1-2x a month.
it gets confusing and i dont know it off the top of my head.


thats not including random seminars that im required to go to which are somehow calculated into the program.

i dont feel like looking in my syllabus right now

the test i took yesterday i dont think i did well on
bad part is- it's supposed to be one of our easiest classes.
but i don't really like the material that much and since it's so easy i barely study for it any time we have a test or anything..so whatever.


but today my a&p test was easy as 3.14
