I went to pass an unmarked crown vic on 40 a few years back and as soon as he saw what i was doing he flipped on his back blue lights for half a second then shut them off. I slowed the fuck down and gave up on passing that one.

Dunno if he was following another car or what.

Amen man. Or how about the pricks that speed up when you try to pass them? It's amazing how sometimes I have to speed up to 85mph to pass someone going 75mph in a timely fashion...I wonder if its b/c they don't want anyone passing them

I had several jerkoffs pull that move on me on my recent 1200 mile (round) trip. The most notable one was a car in the left lane, probably going 72-73mph (can't quite recall). There was nobody next to this car (a Honda CR-V) and they were slowing catching up to a semi in the right lane. I was going 80 and they wouldn't get over for me. So I went to pass them before they caught up to the semi and as I did this they sped up! So I sped up a bit more and squeaked by between them and the semi in a space probably 30 feet long or so(I'm guessing..also I have a pretty small car). This prompted the CR-V to shine his high beams on me. So weird. And of course it took that CR-V about 5 minutes to pass the semi, holding up countless other cars in the process. Freaking douche...

i don't mind this because i'm a herder. if guy who doesn't want to be passed is going upper 60's/low 70's and i want to be at least 75, i'll ride parallel to his back wheels to force him to go a little faster. i usually don't have intentions on passing him, unless someone else is gaining on us and then i'll let them through. i can usually force someone to go fast enough until a slower vehicle gets in their way
