I went to the game last night and had front row seats across from the UNCG bench.

1) Horner is slow as hell. But he didn't pump fake as much as he has done in other games.
2) Davis got his feet tangled with the UNCG guy and fell no foul should have been called there.
3) The refs sucked. They let some of the rough stuff go but called touch fouls.
4) Davis looks like he is clueless out there....you can just see it in his eyes
5) We were awful in the first half and seemed like we just settled on perimeter shots.
6) JGo and TSmith are our best players. Wood showed a little more confidence tonight and 2 of his 4 fouls were hustle fouls.
7) The crowd was 75%-25% NCSU.
8) Halftime entertainment was pretty good.
9) You thought that Duke's cheerleaders were fugly...UNCG gives them a run for their money

I dunno. It is just a look he had in his eyes. This is the first game I gone to this year. Kinda hard to go to others when 1) I am not a student anymore and 2) I live in Winston Salem.

Degand has this angry look when he has the ball too....like he wants to kill a bitch with the ball.

Davis just had an off night, if I remember correctly though he hit a long FG middle of the second half when we needed it.

And Horner has really improved his all around game, which has been obvious since the beginning of the season. This team needs him to keep his level of play up there to compete in the ACC.

Liked what I saw from Degand as well, and even Mays looked a little better probably from the lower level of competition.

Can't wait for the game on Sunday

Yeah it was an asian lady on a tall unicycle flipping bowls onto her head. Normally that wouldn't be exciting but this is something you don't see everyday. Much better than the halftime entertainment i remember seeing in the ESA/RBC

And the UNCG people that were there were saying that once Howell gets into playing shape he will be a beast. They also had some good comments about JGo and said a lot of our players have some huge potential just need to mature a little more.

Each time Wood would make a shot, they would comment positively about him.

Tracy Smith is our best player.

But I'll say it again. Horner is one of our best players. And yes, that says a lot about the experience and talent on this year's team.

Our three best players are Tracy, Javi, and Dennis in that order. Horner may be weak for a post player but at least he looks to shoot/drive the basketball when he gets it and he is our only player with a mid-range game. Our X factor is Scott Wood and his ability to shoot the 3... thankfully it looks like he's found his stroke again if last night is any indication. Julius Mays running the point is painful to watch. I cannot for the life of me figure out the logic behind some of Coach Lowe's substitution patterns... mainly why he has Julius in the game over Javi for long stretches of time like in the 2nd half last night.

^i'm just hoping it's because Javi's hamstring and Sid wants to keep him healthy, and once we hit ACC play we won't be seeing Julius.

I think Lowe is really limiting Javi's minutes against lower level teams. When he is out there he goes all out and I am pretty sure Lowe doesn't want him to be injured and lost for the rest of the season+ we need Mays/ Degand to get as much in game experience as possible because they will have to play meaningful minutes at some point this season and you don't want them to come out and be completely out of their depth. For as much as Mays is not flashy he doesn't tend to turn over the ball. I also think Lowe is trying to get him to shoot a little bit more because if you remember at the end of the season last year he was starting to show a bit of an offensive game.
