i'm not making fun of arabs, i'm making fun of people who have to build the biggest or the longest of everything because they clearly have some sort of inadequacy complex from having a small unit.

That being said I'M HALF LEBANESE i'm not going to make fun of middle-eastern penis sizes.

Arabs are anecdotally known to have large penises, halfway between whites and blacks. At least that's what I have heard from my gay American and British friends living in Saudi and UAE.

BTW, here is a video of the fountain in action... one of the most beautiful man-made things:

Here is another from several hundred feet up in the air (from another skyscraper)

Search for Dubai Fountain on youtube to watch more amazing videos.

I'll just make fun of them for spending $1.5 billion on a building instead of things like

cancer research
eliminating world hunger

etc.

^^ if you want to be fair, you could do that of pretty much all rich nations.

all rich nations give money and food to poor countries, only differing in how much % of their GDP they give.

"The cost of renting a studio with floor-to-ceiling windows, marble fixtures and wooden floors has dropped to $1,815 a month from $3,025, while a one-bedroom apartment is available for $2,722 (it used to be $4,536), the brokerage says. Two-bedroom residences are expected to get $4,310, down from $7,183."

Still quite expensive!

"Varun Chaudhary bought two two-bedroom residences in the Burj for about $1.5 million in 2005 even before construction began. He saw the value leap from $762 per sq. ft. to $3,811 per sq. ft. at the heights of the boom. Today, those values hover just above his purchase price. But he says he isn’t worried about his investment. “These properties will recuperate faster than other properties because it’s an icon, because it’s only one in the world,” he says. “You just have to say ‘Burj Khalifa.’ That’s the address; you don’t have to explain. It’s a style statement in itself.”"

the fountain looks like a cheap knockoff of the fountain at the Bellagio.

^ Made by the same guy who made the Bellagio fountain... so apparently the dude just isn't up to his standards anymore?

It is anything but cheap... see all the videos I linked (you can't call it cheap if the dude who filmed it had a poor quality camera). Or better yet, see it in person, as I did. It is amazing.

^^have you seen the Bellagio fountains in person? It's the same damn thing, except it was original when the Bellagio did it.

^^ No I haven't, but I have seen videos.

But my point is that it is the SAME PERSON who designed both, so the ones in Dubai can't be called a "cheap knockoff". You could say "the ones in Dubai aren't as good as the ones in Bellagio" (if that's true, and I don't know either way), but 'knockoff' implies something that doesn't apply here, as they got the Bellagio designer to come design their fountains.

OK, scratch it all, since you said "same damn thing"
