I just can't believe he announced "I'm going for a walk" instead of sneaking out. Dumb move. He is no longer my favorite player, Boston Rob all the way. 3/6/2010 4:16:32 PM |

Bad move by the Heroes. Tom would have been better to keep than James at this point. I know Candice and JT were worried about numbers, but the two of them teamed up with Colby and Tom would be enough to take the rest down if need be.
The Heroes have no chance of winning any puzzle challenges as long as Rob is around. I hope Russell doesn't so something stupid to ruin what they have going. As long as they keep winning, he doesn't have to worry about Rob gunning for him.
Then again, Russell showed last season he is just fine with his team losing over and over again. The pact with Coach was a good move, but it would still be in his best interest to have Rob as an ally.
And is it just me, or does one of the girls (I think it was Courtney?) look like they are about to die of hunger? You can see just about every bone in her body.
Heroes Rupert Boneham (Pearl Islands/All Stars) James Clement (China/Micronesia) Colby Donaldson (Australian Outback/All Stars)

I think JT got rid of Tom b/c it will keep him under the radar once they merge moreso than if James wasn't there. Everyone knows Tom is a peon, but James could come back as a strong threat (if it is a sprain and not a tear). 3/12/2010 8:37:32 AM |

^^yeah courtney is disgustingly thin. its not even a survivor thing though...she is always anorexic looking.
keep james was def a bad move. i'd be surprised to see his knee improve in the next week. james did do surprisingly well "calling" for his team. i thought he was useless in anything that didn't involve strength and athleticism. 3/12/2010 12:26:57 PM |

I just caught up with the DVR. I want the villains to hurry up and get to a vote. The heroes tribals are a lot less interesting. 3/15/2010 9:34:31 AM |

I disagree. The past two votes have come down to JT's waffling, so it keeps you guessing as to who is going home. The Villains only vote so far was unanimous. I'm sure Russel's antics have started a ripple, and the alliance with Coach will make it more interesting, but for the most part I feel its evident how they would vote. 3/15/2010 1:04:40 PM |

I was also pretty amazed that the previews show that Rob continues to underestimate Russell again next week. He was saying something about how Russell gave away the idol without any regard for his own life in the game. Does he really fail to see that Russell gave away the idol to the one person that he had secretly redirected the most votes to? That giving away the idol worked out better because it actually saved himself AND Parvarti, who he's aligned with? What an idiot. Russell really is the best player that this game has ever seen. It's too bad nobody can see it until it's too late. 3/24/2010 9:16:27 PM |

i don't think he was underestimating him. if anything he was making a case for why they had to get rid of him because of how dangerous he is.

IIRC, the quote was something along the lines of how Russell didn't care about his life in the game and that's what made him dangerous. Maybe underestimate isn't the best word, because obviously he is concerned, but it did bug me that he thought that Russell just gave the idol away and hoped that things worked out for the best/didn't care if he got voted off and that couldn't be further from the truth. I guess what I meant is that clearly Rob doesn't have any appreciation for the strings that Russell is able to pull and how easily he seems to be able to pull them.3/24/2010 10:33:28 PM |

^^^because they needed the numbers to get rid of Tom when they could. If James went home last time and tom had stayed, and with JT and Candice's waffling, it very well could have been Rupert going home this time (and honestly, I would rather Tom had stayed anyway). I don't think that's how the Heroes were viewing it when they voted out Tom, but I bet they are greatful now that they did. I think Colby can convince JT and Candice to stick with him as they move forward, they can't be that far from a merge and/or realignment anyway (I have a feeling the show will try something different this season).
The Villains had the greatest tribal council I've seen to date (but I haven't seen every season). I love how Rob was laughing at Russell for giving up the idol, but the best part was when the 4th vote for Parvati came out and Rob immediately looked scared. Russell had no doubt at all that he had convinced Tyson to switch his vote, which was probably the riskiest part of it. It was pure luck that he picked Ty out of all of them to talk to, because it had to be someone who was voting for Rusell to start with and hated Parvati enough to switch. How could he have known that Tyson was originally putting his name down?

the machete wasn't really a big deal, not as big as pouring out all the water.
speaking of which, he should "find" the machete now and maybe he will be more well liked by the group 3/29/2010 10:13:17 PM |

1) Probst was pretty quick to ask Russell about the machete being gone when he heard it was missing 2) If the girls had seen him on earlier shows then after Russell asked them to be allies the first cut shot would have been them telling the camera, "I'm not going to be part of his dumbass girl alliance, but I'll let him think I am"
Parvati referred to him as the devil, but I think that is just her feeling about his shadiness, not that she knows anything. 3) Rob would definitely not have treated Russell like he's no threat if he had seen prior episodes...Rob's a smart guy 3/30/2010 12:15:51 AM |

Not a very exciting episode, but at least it wasn't obvious right away who was going home.
That was the wrong move getting rid of Rob, I wish Coach had been more adamant about getting rid of Courtney.
This is really Rob's own fault though, if he hadn't gunned so hard for Russell, the rift never would have started. I guess you could argue its Russell's fault for going after the idol, but after he used it selflessly Rob should have dropped it.
I'm expecting a merge next week, otherwise there won't be enough of a jury.
