Matthew in french is "Mathieu"

Matheau would sound like "Mah-toe" but would actually be spelled "Matteau" in french. Matteau is a french last name.

^ I know! It took me a solid 3 minutes of reading her name plate over and over to figure out what it was meant to be.

[Edited on January 14, 2010 at 12:28 PM. Reason : and it was "Ravyshyng" ...since no one reads the last post]

side rant: I hate when people try to make up frenchy names (among other cultures) and have them end up completely stupid.

D'angelo becomes "Dee-anjelo?" Hell no idiot, first of all, it'd be pronounced "Danjelo." Second of all, "angelo" is not a god-damned french word.

Di Angelo, sure

[Edited on January 14, 2010 at 12:28 PM. Reason : italian]

[Edited on January 14, 2010 at 12:30 PM. Reason : wait, it looks like D'angelo is a legit last name.. I hope they pronounce it correctly]

[Edited on January 14, 2010 at 12:31 PM. Reason : and how the hell do you get "farve" out of "Favre?" favre = favruh]

My very good friend's last name is D'Angelo and she is Italian. She pronounces it Di Angelo. However, when she lived in Burke County as a kid, her name was once called over the PA as Dangle-o.

Well, somebody beat me to "Shithead" (pronounced shi - theed). LaDynasty is another strange one. I guess those aren't really bad spellings , but they're so odd I have to wonder sometimes....

I've interacted with the elusive Ravyshyng, and she's cool.

Her name has made it into other threads on here, and I almost called bullshit like I do on the Lemonjello, Orangello, Female, Nosmo King stories that get passed around...but sure enough, she's the real deal.

Ravyshyng really isn't that wild when you think about it.
