I sat next to Nicholas Sparks at church on Easter last year.

I went to shake his hand during the part where we give peace to each other and he was really polite and told me he had a cold so he didn't want to pass it to me (which I was completely fine with). Then we said "Have a good Easter" and all that good stuff. My bff was flipping the fuck out and shaking her husband the entire time then told me afterwards it was him (I had no idea).

He was really nice, and yes, he is a hottie - he also has adorable children and a good looking wife!

hahah there were 10 guys in a room of about 400 women when i was there. this was in november 2007 when Dear John first came out. he's actually a really nice guy though, you can tell he really loves the fact that he has so many fans. he told us some stories and he took questions from all the people in line before he even sat down to sign stuff. and there was no limit either - i had him sign 17 books that day

Doesn't stop me from reading his books though...just stops me from thinking I could be buddy buddy with him.

^^i can say with absolute certainty that that's total bullshit. i've only met him once, but the lady in line with me had met him 7 times and she said he was the nicest author she'd ever met. she was one of those women who had nothing better to do than go to book signings and meet authors

Yeah...well honestly I don't know...I've never actually met him, I'm just going off of other's personal accounts. In a court that wouldn't hold up.

Maybe one day I'll run into him...unfortunately (or fortunately) I wouldn't recognize him if I did so I'd have to have someone tell me it was him. Then I could make my own opinion of him.
