Where can you get the Rosey? The one in CV only has ham, turkey and roast beef.

^^^I would guess convenience. The most troubling part of a sandwich is keeping yourself from eating it as you build it, so I don't know why these people just don't make their own. It's not cheaper to buy them or anything. I suppose if you're not educated in the ways of the sandwich that it might be a godsend.

We've had this conversation before in other threads. What it boils down to is that for $3, the convenience and quality of the sandwich at HT far outweighs any marginal savings you may accrue by purchasing the ingredients separately and making the sandwich yourself.

just for my own knowledge, why would you need that many points? is there a reason you haven't redeemed them for free subs?

I just ate a delicious philly cheesesteak from the teeter for 2.99.

Now it time to go have a close encounter with the turd kind.

my harris teeter automatically deducts them. the problem is i usually never buy the whole subs, except on fridays when they're $3.99. so i continually accrue points. also its $3 fucking dollars. im not that hard up for money. maybe one day i will walk in and order like 10 whole subs and get them all for free and feast

I'll check in at a few Charlotte locales and report back if this is an isolated occurrence or a store-wide phenomenon

I thought it was only $3.49 if you got Boar's Head deli meats instead of the HT brand

Not sure how this affects Footlong Friday. I'll report back later.

[Edited on February 25, 2011 at 11:05 AM. Reason : Boar's Head subs are $1 more. Do not question me, I live off these things.]

America sucks. Things get more expensive and I get paid the same. Plus they totally skimp on the meat at the one on Tryon Village.

The one near my office off Davis Drive treats me right! I'm a "regular" so they usually hook me up a bit. Even got an entire extra chicken cutlet once, lol.

Ask for the Italian. It requires so much meat there's no way you'll come out with less than if you'd ordered just ham or turkey.

There's been like one guy every Friday at Tryon, and he's the biggest tool. He looks like he wants to be put out of his misery. Does a really sloppy job on the sandwich making, and can't wrap either. I'm always like just let me make the sub then you wet rag!

most disappointing cheese steak from HT ever

don't lie and tell me you have enough for a footlong when the bread/meat ratio is clearly not right after i take a bite or two

The ones from the Edwards Mill store can be giant or meager depending on who you get. Frustrating. But still tasty.

What are these "sub points" mentioned in this thread? When I get an HT sub I just get it and pay for it. Have I been getting ripped off?
