Quote :
"I bet in 80 years, we will find out that Obama was racist."

Read his two books and find out today!

Also, Teddy Fucking Roosevelt
Quote :
"While Roosevelt was campaigning in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on October 14, 1912, a saloonkeeper named John Schrank shot him,
but the bullet lodged in his chest
only after penetrating both his steel eyeglass case and passing through a thick (50 pages) single-folded copy
of the speech he was carrying in his jacket. Roosevelt, as an experienced hunter and anatomist, correctly concluded that since he wasn't coughing
blood, the bullet had not completely penetrated the chest wall to his lung, and so declined suggestions he go to the hospital immediately.
Instead, he delivered his scheduled speech with blood seeping into his shirt. He spoke for ninety minutes. His opening comments to the gathered
crowd were, "Ladies and gentlemen, I don't know whether you fully understand that I have just been shot; but it takes more than that to kill a Bull Moose."

Afterwards, probes and X-ray showed that the bullet had traversed three inches (76 mm) of tissue and lodged in Roosevelt's chest muscle but
did not penetrate the pleura, and it would be more dangerous to attempt to remove the bullet than to leave it in place. Roosevelt carried it with
him for the rest of his life."

Anybody who says FDR needs to be shot. Not only did the New Deal fuck us but it led Obama to think it would work this time. Didn't work the first time, why the fuck would it the second?

Reagan was awesome but he emphasized religion way too much, along with causing one of the biggest blunders in US History - the war on drugs.

Jefferson was perfect in every way.

Teddy Roosevelt because he was the first to recognize the importance of National Parks and preserving the beauty and solitude of nature.

And Bill Clinton...all black people love Clinton

Saps, the professor I had that taught Lincoln & the Union was William Harris. He was an emeritus professor at the time I took the class, so I doubt he's still teaching at State. He was a very good prof, and knew pretty much everything there was to know about Lincoln and America during that time period.

One neat side note, Dr. Harris told us he was doing some research in the NC Archives downtown, and he came across a letter written to Zeb Vance and signed by Lincoln. This was accessible to the public and anyone could have walked out with it, so he let the folks there know about it. I think a Lincoln signature goes for about 40k to those that collect stuff like that.

Not being as powerful as we are today? Sign me up. As Kissinger said, "There is no security at the top of the world."

Well, the douchebag didn't think, hmmmm, maybe it's best not to be on top of the world.

Switzerland doesn't get this terrorist shit thrown at them. It also doesn't have thousands of nuclear weapons pointed at it. You can say the same for a dozen other countries that, in military affairs, mind their own fucking business.

^^^^ I don't really view Reagan as a religious-right sort of Republican to the extent that some might characterize him as so. I think that he largely gave lip service to them to keep them happy-ish, then did very little to advance their causes.

Now, I do think that he holds a lot of the responsibility in terms of letting those douchebags rise to influence, but that really wasn't what he was about, in my opinion.

All in all, I'd say I like the following a lot, though I do disagree with several of them in some significant ways:

Jefferson
Reagan
Jackson
Teddy Roosevelt
Washington

If I have to pick any Democrats, I don't dislike JFK or Clinton too much.

I got asked in an interview for a bank which President I would most like to have dinner with.

I chose Andrew Jackson, just because he's fascinating and fiery character.

Jesus Christ. You must be so captivated by the main stream media it's ridiculous. Actions taken by FDR made The Great Depression worse and more prolonged. Not that he wasn't good or didn't do anything but you're just saying this because of the praise he's given by the media and liberal historians.

Ronald Reagan. He defeated the Soviets.

one thing a lot of people don't think about is the fact that you can pretty much blame the regan administration's policies for helping to produce islamic terrorism against the us.

Really?

It doesn't look very exceptional to me. Looks pretty regular to me and then in '37 they fucked up and tightened monetary policy up too early and prolonged it.

I admit, I can't watch normal news channels because they bore me by simply reporting the news blandly. Every newschannel is going to deliver some kind of bias. Might as well watch the one with the best production and most entertaining delivery.

I watch fox news all the time and love watching oreilly, and beck. I used to watch hannity but hes just been a complete baby since the election. When I watch beck, I disagree with him on 95% of what hes saying but its a funny show and great delivery with passion that I admit I watch for giggles. Oreilly is more balanced and a more isightful show. Its my favorite news show. I used to watch on the record but she too seems a lot more bitchy since the election.

"systematically overspent on national defense to crush the Soviet Union since it was obvious they couldn't keep up. It took Reaganomics only 8 years to increase the national debt from $1 trillion to about $3.5 trillion!"

the only reason conservatives worship regan is because he wrecklessly cut taxes while spending his ass off to have a bigger dick thatn the sovietts.

I take offense to being called a liberal but progressive is ok.

Teddy Roosevelt. He beefed up our navy, conserved land for federal parks to preserve the beauty of our country, has an impressive military career, and had a dominating presence both mentally and physically.

anyone who mentions Abe Lincoln as a great president better not ever make claims of any other president being a warmonger or of Hitler being a bad person for having prison camps that doubled as death camps. His assassination and the subsequent appointment of Andrew Johnson was the only saving grace for the south, as Johnson actually wanted to let them reassemble into the nation instead of treating the south like a conquered nation to be pillaged and punished.

I wrote a term paper on Jefferson Davis one time with that black US history professor.

Big mistake, he gave me a D even though the paper was pretty good.

I was pretty jacked up on cocaine because I had to stay up all night to write it so some of my organization was a little floaty, but it definitely wasn't D work.

Perhaps if I'd smoked a black drug like crack instead and picked a President that blacks can identify with like FDR (free lunch) or Clinton (free homes) he would have given me a better grade.

Oh well, I never once watched one of his videos (online course) so he can eat me out for all the time I saved.

It depends on how you define greatness. I choose George Washington. He relinquished his control over a nation and a people, where most men in his position would have stopped at nothing to keep power. That strength of character and will, made him truly great. Not to mention, without his military victories, America as we know it, would not exist.

you remind me of Hitler. He was a loser who blamed all of his shortcomings on the jews. Everyone needs someone to blame though, some blame their parents, some the white man, others the media.
you have chosen black people. congratulations.
