Just got back home. It's going to be nice being in my own bed without people doing tests every hour, but my pain is a good bit worse without morphine. Time to sleep ... a lot. Thanks so much everyone. 2/8/2010 3:12:29 PM |

Just read this -- hope you get well soon, Tara. Drunken poetry readings with you are the best. 2/10/2010 7:13:50 PM |

My spine is pissed! Apparently it's straight in places it should be curved because my muscles are all spasmy. But I got some muscle relaxers yesterday and those seem to be helping. I'm realizing I need to let myself heal slowly instead of trying to push myself and get back to normal as soon as I can. So it's been great having the people I care about around to keep an eye on me and keep me from going too crazy.
Thanks to everyone who has come to visit. You guys rock. 2/11/2010 10:37:29 AM |

I'm doing better than I think anyone would have expected me to be at this point. I'm able to walk on my own enough to do daily activities, and my pain has subsided to the point that OTC meds are enough for me now. There are still ways I can't move, I can't pick up heavy things yet, and sneezing/laughing still really hurt, but otherwise I'm very happy with the amount of improvement I've seen in 2.5 weeks. I didn't think I'd be walking yet. Life is good. 2/24/2010 12:26:02 PM |
