seriously, right before summer is a bad time to be opening a business that will mostly rely on the foot traffic of college students. Speaking of foot traffic, the Time Out in chapel hill has lots of it while I don't see this location receiving nearly as much. I hope it sticks around but if they are expecting success equal to the CH location then they will be disappointed imo.

anybody hating on this just cuz its from chapel hill aint never been there

the food is bad ass, the portions magnificent, and they give you SECONDS

...hopefully its like time out in chapel hill and not timeout bar in RTP

i dont know why one of them is a stupid bar and the other a great great eatery

so i just stopped by there

$15 got me

Two chicken breast biscuits w/ cheese
and a side of mac and cheese

this isn't chapel hill

not every student is running around with mommy and daddy's credit card

$5 for chicken, biscuit and cheese is fucking ridiculous.

I dont care if you have been on Man v Food, Bojangles puts out a better chicken biscuit....

next concept please!!!

no i did it right.

waffle house offers their breakfast sampler for $7.99

this place isn't lasting charging $4.99 for a chicken&cheese biscuit

YES $3.99 for a chicken biscuit, which is acceptable. BUT $1 EXTRA FOR A SLICE OF CHEESE

THEY ARE THE ONES DOING IN WRONG

And there was No Sign advertising free seconds....I have no clue where that came from.

i know. people who open things there keep opening at the worst times. like didn't big kahuna open around or during the summer too? why not open at the END of summer/beginning if fall when people are back, all into going out, drunk after football, etc. seems better than late spring and being quasi dead for the summer. maybe the UT camps will keep it in business?

i only eat sides at time out. i get fried okra and macaroni. sometimes i just get fried okra. that is mostly why i was excited about it. a place w/ fried okra that isn't K&W. or ole time (drive).

oh and the fact that i can eat macncheese and fried okra at 4am if i want to.

so which one of your relative's is working at TIME OUT

b/c i had the mac and cheese right here in front of me

and i wouldn't walk to the dining hall from bragaw if they were offering it for free

i'm sure it was fried on-site, but it must have been fried up like an hour before i walked in

fuck that shit yo

chicken and biscuit were still good kind of cold with texas pete but not the quality i am used to at Time-Out

maybe i wasn't drunk enough

^^^ i was referring to the chapel hill one - when i eat there i get mac n cheese and fried okra

^^ and i don't live by campus!!! if i drove from my parents house to ole time it would be whack (JUST FOR FRIED OKRA. PLUS THEY ARENT OPEN AT 4am)

and i actually like time out's fried okra (at least when i've had it at the chapel hill one)

4am food dude. you got like burger king breakfast, waffle house, cookout (sick) or time out (now - i haven't eatn the raleigh one). i'm just sayin anytime i've had it in chapel hill late night its been fine BUT then again i only get mac n cheese and fried okra (like i said) so i can't comment on the quality of chicken biscuits!

I can't speak to their barbeque since I don't eat pork, but their grilled chicken sandwich was terrible and they served me stale fries.

Ate there for lunch, last week.

Got the chicken and cheese biscuit, I thought it was pretty dank and one filled me up (you need to really like fried chicken to eat it though)

I def agree that its a little expensive. Everything needs to be a $1 to $1.50 cheaper IMO /cheapo

i saw the man vs food episode where the dude went to the Timeout in chapel hill... He noticed, just like I did, that the biscuit cutter they use looks like a Klingon Bat'leth.

i still don't get why people are going here to eat normal meals like lunch on a monday

i've always operated on the notion that this was drunk/high people food. late night drunk food. possibly some hungover food

either way - i think alcohol is prereq.
