I sure as hell ain't paying the rent they're asking for in town. I talked to one girl, and she's happy to only be paying $950 for two bedrooms.

To be fair, though, from what I've seen, it looks like I got shafted. Other cabins have fireplaces, or AC, or nice, clean, white walls, and closets. The general men's bathhouse is nicer than the cowgirls' bathhouse I use (primarily because it's close)

Like I said (or, I think I said ): there's a reason rent is $180. But because I'm not getting some of the features/amenities that all the other staff are getting for the same price, I am considering asking for a reduction in rent.

I stopped in that little pull-out tonight to stargaze.
Owing to the curve in the road, and the spires in all directions, it was like a fisheye effect, whether looking ahead, or up.

I highly recommend doing street view throughout the entire canyon; if not that, then a mile or two to the west of where that embed is. I don't think I can ever get tired of this drive. Traffic stopped yesterday for bighorn sheep at one of the curves; there are LOTS of places for fishing along this road. Unfortunately, it looks like this was captured on a cloudy day; on a sunny day, the colors of the rocks are just phenomenal.

CO DL acquired.
CO license plates acquired, and attached. I tagged my mom in the photo of said license plate, since she's horribly jealous of me
I had to ghettofy the front plate: awl+bolts+fiberglass bumper = the bolts are not fully screwed in, so the zip ties are just in case something goes wrong. I knew I should ahve gotten the 10" instead of 8"!

i love it out here, i've had tons of friends and family come out to visit. after their respective first trips out here, they never again question why we're here. i have to say though i have it a little better in the winter living in Denver, we don't get as much snow as the RMNP. heck our highs just dropped into the high-60's this week.
