If Voyager took the same approach that the new BSG did (damage over time, serial storytelling) it would have been something amazing. The idea of the show, being stranded out in the Delta quadrant with no help, could have been something amazing.

Sadly we get fucking Threshold.

remember though that she is a 22 year old Ocampan (if she was about 2 when voyager started?)... since they only live around 9 years usually that would make her about 180 years old (calculated with an average female human lifespan of 73.5 years)

yeah, but that is part of the star trek paradigm, by and large. losing an actor makes for most of the few exceptions to the rule that episode arcs are very short or self-contained, non?

I was reading last night about the production of voyager, because i got bored and started watching season 4 again a few days ago, and then Kes came up in the news. There was a rumor that Kim was supposed to be the one cut from the show to bring on Seven, since Garrett Wang was always showing up hungover to the tapings, but he made People's 50 most beautiful ppl list at the 11th hour, so they cut Kes instead, since her character wasnt going anywhere post-Tuvix.
