The only time I've run Crawmerax was in a 2-man group, me as a sniper and a friend as a siren.

He ended up just running around kiting everything/dieing and killing a tiny enemy to come back while I hid in a corner and shot Crawmerax's weak points with a high-damage revolver.

He ended up dropping an incredible revolver, too. It was an Equalizer (which usually suck as far as oranges go) that just so happened to also be a Masher... I forgot the exact stats, but it was something like 300x7 damage with 90+ accuracy. And a scope. And fast fire speed+reload speed.

the guys i would do runs with and i could knock it out in like 5 minutes, then we'd spend like 10-20 minutes just sorting through the loot we get, making sure we really get the best weapons, etc. etc.

with the right weapons and a good catalyst mod the game is pretty damn easy

vindictus looks pretty bad ass. free to play mmo-action. it's out in korea, will be in US by Q4.

Metal Gear Solid Peacewalker has been awesome. My only qualms with the game was that they chose to put it on the wrong platform. I'm borrowing a friends newer psp so I can connect it to my tv and play that way.

Red Dead is also a great game. The depth and level of detail of things has been very good. I think free roam would benefit from dedicated servers instead of relying on ps3s or 360s to host the game. Giant firefights would be a lot cooler if more than 16 people could be in the same instance at a time.

Metal Gear Solid Peacewalker actually tempts me to go out and get a PSP. Only main hesitation is that I've already sunk a significant $ into my little DS, and I mentally can't justify buying another handheld system.

Crackdown 2 releases today.

The demo was fun as hell. Would highly recommend.

Bought Crackdown 2.
Is very fun.
I'm a bit worried that it might not last very long, but that remains to be seen. Mostly it's just one of those games that makes you feel like you've only played for an hour or two when you've actually been playing for four or five hours... so I suppose that's a good thing.

the alan wake DLC was disappointingly short. I hope that was just because many people got it for free. the next one better get some substance if they want my money.
