I just called to ask about the size of our campsite to make sure multiple tents were OK. They said we have room for about 4 tents. The tent pad itself is 16'x16' but there's also some other flat area on the site they said we could use if we need to.

So now we need to figure out who's actually coming and bringing tents, etc.

As far as I know me, Fareako, ALkatraz and another guy are in for camping for sure

ThePeter? evan? Are you coming along for the shenanigans? If anyone else who is going wants to join the campsite o' debauchery let me know. We probably have room for a few more.

I have a camp grill, propane, and a cooler. That's it for my camping stuff. I might be able to borrow a tent or air mattress if needed.

I think Aaron has at least one tent. I own one but it's been stuck in a trash bag for like 5 years and I am afraid to take it out now. I might do that this weekend and see what happens. It's huge, so I hope it isn't nasty. I should have other cooking supplies depending on what we need. I don't have a sleeping bag or air mattress or anything but I've been meaning to get one.

We can split gas up - it looks like we'll have 4 or 5 people total in my truck. We should be good.

How early can you leave? We may need to split up into 2 vehicles to fit all people and gear. So far I think it's you, me, Aaron, Peter, Evan and Metts getting picked up along the way. (All I know is Metts has an entry into the race; I've been assuming he'd want to ride with someone, but perhaps not.)

Firewood is good! I hadn't thought of that. I have been looking on there for tents and there are some cheap ones available if needed.

I spoke with Metts, he is driving separate because he needs to catch a plane on Sunday so he'll be leaving early.

So that leaves the rest of us. It will be tight but fine. We can take another vehicle is someone else decides to come too.

Supplies needed: (feel free to add to)
Firewood, tents, sleeping bags, grill, coolers, food, drinks, water, toiletries, a tarp (in case of rain).

We should have enough space in the truck bed. I'll empty my tool box out for added dry space.

I have two coolers, a camp grill, propane, a tarp, and I'll pickup the firewood and we can split the cost.

Thanks to ^ another Aaron is now coming with us. So we will have to take two cars, but I think that's probably a good thing because nobody wants to be squished between two people for 6 hours. And by nobody I mean me, because I know that's who'd end up there.

Fareako Aaron apparently has two-ish tents that can allegedly hold four people each. I think that's what they said anyway. We are probably best off putting two people per tent though for sake of comfort.

I, too, live in Cary. I can be the second car. Doesn't really matter to me who rides where. We can meet at my place if that works because I'll probably have all the stuff. Also, things to bring that you might forget: towel, folding camping chair if you have one, change of clothes for after the dash so we don't get the cars muddy, bathing suit if you want to swim

What do we want to do re: plates and utensils and whatnot?

I think we are pretty short on sleeping bags. Not sure what to do about that. I am fine with just taking a comforter and sleeping on that, but if you don't have one I guess you can figure out your own plan.

Also need to figure out who's sharing tents.
