yeah, there's no way they'll get a permit. there's so much work that goes into having ANYTHING done on ncsu grounds that i seriously doubt administration will let this go through. especially considering the people I figured thought up this retarded idea to begin with

i think the idea and the effort is great. i see the police's perspective, but you figure they could find a way to work WITH the students instead of against them.

kinda like the way the police allowed stuff to happen in the Duke celebration after the game that they clearly wouldn't have otherwise.

yeah I worked a little with the centennial campus challenge in trying to get permits, so I have an idea on all the planning administration wants put into an event before authorizing anything. shit like, restroom facilities since it will be after hours, how to account for non-NCSU people, all sorts of stuff

Sure, the idea and effort can be "great". Administration is all about having student run events. They want the students to go through the proper channels, and they want to be sure that the students running it are competent. Arranging for a bunch of ravers to assemble late at night on campus through facebook is not the proper channel.

i admit i went out there to check it out

tons of people out there, apparently the PD shut down the music very quick
saw one guy almost get arrested for climbing a light pole. pd took him to the side, talked to him, wrote his name down and let him leave. i dont think anything will come of it cause the guy had a smile on his face when he left


then someone drove out into the brickyard in their pickup truck with the music blaring. 10 seconds after stopping the police moved in and made him turn it off.

but like i said, tons of people. brickyard was def the fullest i've seen it in my 4 years at state
