^Oh, yeah, they're absolutely balanced at high-level, and I like that Capcom's gotten better at that. I'm just talking about the boring mess that online play turns into when it's just Sagat, Ryu, and Ken players.


Eh, MvC has more flashy and fast-paced gameplay, anyway, so I doubt it'll ever get as boring as SF4 did to me... even if I do see Deadpool and Dante (and probably Magneto) every other match (I love deadpool, but you're kidding yourself if you don't expect everyone and their brother to play him).

If I had to guess, I'd say Taskmaster will just have a bunch of moves from other marvel characters. A shield throw from Cap, a web swing from Spidey (he's got a wrist cable launcher sometimes), a special bow shot from Hawkeye, a punch from Iron Fist, etc. Even though Daredevil isn't in the game Taskmaster takes a lot of his fighting style from him so some billy club daredevil move would be cool also.

I just hope he has his sword and shield.

"Collector's Edition" announced... which is all fine and good, except that it confirms the existence of purchased DLC characters... coming out just 4 weeks after launch.

But hey, Jill Valentine and Shuma-Gorath confirmed!

Nothing wrong with adding Jill and Shuma-Gorath to the game, and honestly there's not a lot wrong with adding DLC characters well after the game releases, but with these characters already in development and releasing so close to the actual game release date, it seems too much like a shameless cash grab... Not that anyone should be all that surprised about Capcom doing a cash-grab, it's just disappointing.

I have a different attitude than others about DLC. As long as a game provides content worth the price on the main disc, I'm perfectly OK with DLC being available at launch. MvC 3 will have about 36 fighters with (hopefully) smooth online play. Seems like a good deal to me.

I don't see it pissing off any fanboys, they are mostly just stoked about a good fighting game with marvel characters, and don't care whether the strength of the powers are accurate as long as they look right.


Plus without the Phoenix Force her power is comparable to Magneto, Doom or Thor, and she's less powerful than Dormammu. [/fanboy]

^That's the Raging Demon. Pretty much a standard for any game that has Akuma. Never been that fast though.

BTW, at about :51 in the Akuma video you can see him fighting Cosmic Doom, which people assume is a mid-boss or something.
