i grew up about 20 minutes from roxboro...the few times i went there, i found it incredibly depressing

went to palace point a couple of times, though that's not in roxboro proper (or wasn't...they may have expanded out that way by now)

Good times can be had by driving to Raleigh.

Oh yeah, I used to work at Clarksville Station.

Palace Pointe is more expensive for a movie than any theater in Raleigh or Durham.

haha! I'm from Roxboro and I think I turned out OK - however, I may be an exception to the rule
And of course, I don't live there any more and I really don't have any desire to live there again.

I don't really have anything to add, pretty much what everybody else said. At least they have liquor by the drink now, which they didn't when I was growing up/living there.

So yeah, why are you moving there again?

well i thought i had found a decent day of bluegrass at the mayo park ampitheater until i read that the park doesn't allow alcoholic beverages
