dude, just call her or go to her and tell her. this shit happened to me last winter. i was hanging out with a girl, doing things together multiple times a week. i just had to push whatever fear of "losing a friend" or whatever other BS was running thru my head and tell her how I felt. i mean i was crazy about this girl, and i got crushed when she said she didn't feel that way. but i feel better today having done that than spent the last 5 months hoping and wondering if tomorrow would be the day "we" finally happened.

sack up and do it tomorrow. just get it over with. you'll either be happy tomorrow night or happy in a couple months when you've put her in the rearview

That is what I said and I was promptly called a 9th-grader by someone.

My whole point was that it isn't simply a lack of confidence. This situation is NOT akin to walking up to a girl you find attractive and talk to her or ask her out. The inability to do THAT would show a lack of confidence. It's a totally different story when you have a deep history with the person and obviously very deep emotions with her (I mean he said love not me).

For what it's worth, though, I wouldn't spend that much $$$ on a girl who I wasn't in a serious relationship with.
