i ran into an old friend while we were both getting oil changed at a random place in north raleigh. had some good catching up talk

I got new neighbors. They're from France and said the wine at Trader Joe's was expensive compared to France.

3 chicken rooms flooded and had to muck out the wet shavings and put in new shavings. fail.

i was up in a hotel looking out at the ocean before going out when i see a couple with some kids running around on the beach. all of a sudden i start imagining... not even imagining but feeling like i was him and his wife was this girl i know ( and have ceased all contact with ) and that the kids running around were ours. it was both frightening and soothing. i don't know what to make of this since im not the type of guy to have these thoughts. am i getting old ? i have no desire for a girlfriend and am completely satisfied with random hookups . and the girl i was thinking about i never dated or hooked up with. i did have a thing for her but nothing ever came of it. is this my subconscious telling me that random hook ups can't fill the void in my soul ?
