Oh yeah, forgot he was in The Rock. Although, I watched it for Sean Connery. Seriously, Nicholas Cage as a nerdy chemist is about the same stretch as Hugh Jackman in Swordfish as a computer hacker or Harrison Ford in Firewall as an IT admin...

And as for Kickass, he was ok in it. Very creepy in some parts, but pretty freaking awesome, specially the warehouse fight scene. His little goodbye speech at the end killed it for me though.

How would it not be a serious comment? His last two real films are Kick-Ass and Bad Lieutenant. I have not seen Kick-Ass, but he is supposedly great in it. Bad Lieutenant is great, and would not be as great with any other actor. I'm trying to figure out if your comment is a serious comment.

It's cool and easy to hate Nicolas Cage, just like it's cool and easy to hate Keanu Reeves.

Both are extremely underrated as actors, and are good in the right roles. Money trouble has prompted Cage to take every shit sandwich but still unintentionally funny role out there.

Keanu Reeves was awesome in both Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure and Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey. Other than that though, not so good.


I enjoyed Gone in 60 Seconds and can watch Con Air and The Rock every once in awhile. The Wicker Man is probably the funniest movie of the last 10 years.

The Nic Cage Gone in 60 Seconds is a piece of shit.

The original is one of the best stunt driving films ever made.

The remake of The Wicker Man is insane and incredible.

Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans is also insane and incredible.

matchstick men was a good movie

i will say that he nearly pulled off that character but that twitch he would always do was too distracting

i was watching point break the other day and the part where keanu reeves yells "I'm fucking surfing" made me laugh for about 5 mins so I missed whatever happened after that

I think people let their preconceived feelings about Nicolas Cage get in the way. He's fine in Lord of War.
