this is what i was looking for. the blackness at the bottom of the hole isn't a vast opening, but water. this is the second similar sinkhole to open in guatemala, the first being in 2007. geologists are still trying to figure out what made them so circular and deep.

I remember when a sinkhole opened up in Hickory. It was crazy.
They finally closed it on sinkhole de mayo
Luckly that resturant sucked and no one was there except for one person who had a brand new corvette that got swallowed up.

I think there was a minor sinkhole in the TKE house parking lot next to the food lion on avent ferry
it was after I graduated, after I stopped going to the house all the time, so I honestly dont know a lot about it. I believe it was only a few feet in diameter though. 6/2/2010 12:48:06 PM |
