I used to invite lots of people to be my friends on myspace. Then when everyone switched to facebook I quit inviting friends and made everyone find me.

^Myspace and Facebook are great for reconnecting with old friends. Some people from my high school found me on myspace about 3 years ago and we hang out in person now. After that the social networks have become pretty pointless. It is easier to communicate by phone, or in person at work. If they really are your friend then they will call you on the phone.
