Did any of you guys get the "Fill the Grill for $20" deal at Whole Foods the week before memorial day? That was the shit; I wish they'd keep it around all summer long.

^ That's it. The burgers were really good. The pasta salad tasted like some kind of balsamic vinaigrette with a little teriyaki sauce rather than that mayonnaise junk you normally think about. The watermelon was the best I've had in a few years. A+ would eat again.

So what's the deal? That website links you to google, and the search results had different specials all under "fill the grill". 6/8/2010 11:20:49 AM |

I believe my ex works for the same company, but he was given his per diem in cash and didn't have to account for his spending via receipts. He made a LOT of money from biz travel.
And I could easily drink away a $71 per diem with a good bottle of wine. 6/8/2010 11:33:22 AM |

Can I? Surely. It's not hard at all, just eat at somewhat expensive places, or if they don't audit the receipts for booze, eat at moderately priced places and get your drink on. (Be sure on this before you try it, lest you end up owing the company $Nebraska. But you're a seasoned pro, you know the drill.)
I wish my per diem had been like that. The one time that I traveled on the company dollar, I think I had something like $35 for the whole day. But then again I work for the state, and that was in 2004--you probably don't even get that anymore.

Yeah, I dont really have a "limit" on my travel expenses....but I just need to be able to justify it to my manager. I have a really cool manager. I have a lot of fun on trips 6/8/2010 12:10:41 PM |

At my last job I was allotted $15 for breakfast, $25 for lunch and $50 for dinner. Hotel breakfast will be ~$15, lunch anywhere sitdown will be $25 and a 3 course dinner with a drink will run you $50. If this is per diem then eat McDonald's double cheese and pocket the rest. 6/8/2010 12:20:02 PM |

If you spend like...500 dollars on a hooker and then eat 15% of her..does that count? 6/8/2010 4:04:17 PM |

I believe that that counts 6/8/2010 6:53:47 PM |
