haha and what are you basing it off of? Both the earth and the moon changed sizes after the collision and no one was there to watch.

that is not supposed to be the moon. it's supposed to be a ~mars sized body impacting the proto-earth.

the combination of the mass of these two bodies form the current earth and moon system, not in the same proportion as the original two.
