If you get it toasted, you'd probably want the cheese on there before the toasting occurred.

I'm curious now what other places this sort of thing happens. Does someone go to McDonald's and ask for their own cheese to be put on the cheeseburger?

^I had a soccer player who had to bring his own cheese for a pizza. I can't remember if it was goat cheese, or some kind of substitute. Lucky for him, Cici's would make a pizza for him with his cheese. He had some kind of sickness that limited what he could eat.

Yeah he is lucky. Places I've worked when I was in the food service industry you were strictly forbidden from using ingredients given to you by customers. Supposedly it's against the rules of the health department, which wouldn't surprise me really.

^^^seriously! What kind of decent establishment would take food from a customer and bring it behind the counter with the rest of the fresh food?! Might as well hang a sign that says, "To hell with hygeine!!". The cheese pizza thing is a little different I guess. But everyone knows you're taking a chance with your digestive health when you go to Cici's anyway.

Your at Subway. To Hell with hygiene is implied.

Yeah, that's a big no-no. I wouldn't expect Subway workers to know the rules, though...

Wow. Yet another Seinfeld episode.

And if you're the kind that has to have a very specific kind of cheese to keep from getting sick, perhaps you should start to look beyond your affinity for eating at pizza restaurants.
