saying some word aint racist, theres a whole ideology and enactment thereof to consider.

pardon me for not following your every move and noticing exactly what you say and when you say it

i never said the word was racist, I bumped this thread instead of making a new one because 1) people would bitch about me making a new thread 2) they would point me to this one anyway 3)this thread discusses this issue and 4) I DO think it sends the wrong message when someone that just joined TWW (or someone that hasn't joined at all) opens a thread, even in chitchat, and sees people throwing around the word "nigger" along with the idea that "he's black, its ok if he says it"

my issue is with the fact that everyone seems to think its only ok to use that word if you're black. black people say "nigger," "nigga," or any variation of that word and people say that its ok, they're just using it as colloquialism, its like saying "dude" or "bro" or something
white people say it, and omg they're racist and they can't say that word, they're white!!

oh and using words like "raghead" in a derogatory sense is generally frowned upon no matter what your skin color or nation of origin

i'm not trying to pick fights here, just pointing out the double standard

the problem is, none of the black people on TWW act like this straw race that BHS is beating his drum about, so I don't really get the grounds or justification he feels by coming all up on here spouting the n-word so a bunch of actual racists can then start to feel empowered to use it because of the homey's self-deprecation

all in all, it's just self hate. One day the dude will learn to love the skin he's in, that his actions precede his behavior, and that he can stop shouting from the mountaintop that he's not like those other black people
