Lowes. I can't find jack shit in Home Depot, and those Orange Smocks are there to ignore you.

The Home Depot in Crossroads has consistently been much more awesome than the Lowes across the street. Their employees were really helpful when I was working on a project last year; one guy traipsed around the entire store with me looking for random items and called in help to find them. I used to always go to Lowes but I've been converted.

#3 is so true.

i have to say that the lowes i go to is pretty good on the weekend, i think they bring in extra people just to help customers. its almost like going car shopping but not as obnoxious, they stand around the front door and offer their assistance as soon as you enter.

lowes for sure. the one here has very helpful and nice employees, they actually carry the parts/stuff i'm looking for, and have a good selection. i've never found anything at home depot, although i've tried. the that amount of orange is too much for me too.

Aha yeah, I actually did ask a guy at home depot the other day if they happened to have motor oil.

if I was at Bigman Inc, they could have made a couple of bucks

This happened to me at Home Depot a couple weeks ago. I also had about 5 other people ask me if I needed help.

Lowes because it's 5 minutes away from my house. The nearest home depot is 30 minutes away.

can't say i prefer either one....you're not going to walk out of there with ice cream or a big-ass tv or something cool...can't really get pumped about buying weather stripping

Lowe's...but only because it's closer than Home Depot. Closest Home Depot is probably 25-30 minutes away. Lowe's is 10.

Between the two, I prefer Lowes. In my experience, the service is consistently better there.

Lowe's

I've been to both today.

the ppl at HD just stood there and looked at me. the guy at lowes seemingly chased me down to ask if i needed anything.
