Quote : | "5. 96 percent of NCAA revenue benefits the membership through distributions or services
The 96 percent figure includes:
• Division I distributions (60 percent)
• Championships (13 percent)
• Programs and national office services (19 percent)
• Other services (such as the Eligibility Center) (4 percent)
To be clear, the 96 percent includes much of the national office’s expenses (including salaries), which are housed in programmatic budgets. The 4 percent that remains is for central services, such as building operations and salaries not related to particular programs." |

Ok now take that thirty thousand dollars a year and add the entire life earnings to it after college. It's fair to say the reason many of them get jobs, those who don't go pro, is because of their degree that WE gave them. And if they do well after WE prepare them for the next level and WE promote their skills they get paid at the next level after THEY have earned it. You can be a rookie phenom of an lawyer but you still have to go through the process earning little money and working monsterous hours in order to EVENTUALLY get that paycheck. Sorry your theory is fucked. 7/23/2010 5:46:17 PM |

It's not. I am pretty sure whites outnumber blacks in college football. College basketball is closer than you think. Don't use the pro's as a college resource.7/23/2010 6:36:49 PM |

Who is WE?
Are you a teacher?
How do you have any influence here?
Good job on comparing a linebacker to a lawyer, though. Lots of similarities in those career paths. 7/23/2010 6:44:43 PM |

^^ Can we subtract walk ons who don't play and aren't even on scholarship. I think that would make the statement true don't you?

What statement?
I'm saying top players bring more value to their schools than they get in return
Walk ons have no influence on way or another with regards to that 7/23/2010 6:48:38 PM |

I work in a group that banks $1.4 billion in fee revenue per year. I don't see any of that. Therefore, I work in a sweatshop!
This argument can be applied anywhere and to anyone. Give me a break 7/23/2010 8:50:37 PM |
